At SPTM, we love hosting fun family-friendly events in the community. We had a great time hosting two events over the Easter holiday this year.
Plenty of Easter Fun at Gas Green Community Centre
We kicked things off with an Easter Egg hunt at Gas Green Community Centre. After all of the hunting, everyone was hungry and thirsty, so we enjoyed some well-earned Easter eggs and hot chocolate. All of the Easter eggs were very kindly donated by local members of the community. It never fails to amaze us just how generous people are in our community; we had 80 eggs donated in less than 24 hours!
We finished off the first event in the afternoon with some fantastic sports activities with Goals Beyond Grass and some Easter themed quizzes and drawing. I think you’ll agree that an amazing time was had by all!
For our second instalment of Easter Holiday fun, we were joined by the wonderful Josie’s kitchen, where everyone learned how to make delicious homemade pizzas which went down a treat. After our feast, we were once again treated to some fun sporting games by Goals Beyond Grass.
Looking ahead to the summer
Over the two events, we had around 70 adults and children come along and we were delighted to meet lots of new faces! The range of activities meant that there was truly something for everyone. We pride ourselves on our events being inclusive and welcoming for all.
Now Easter has gone and it won’t be long before the Summer holidays are here. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for announcements about some exciting things happening over the summer holidays!
